there
are three cat clubs in the U.K devoted to bengals, i am a member of all
three and have a breeder-link with each. the
bengal cat club of great britain is affiliated solely to TICA
the bengal
cat club
was the first of its kind in the U.K, started by barrie and rosie
alger-street, who were the first to bring these beautiful cats into the
country. this club is affiliated to the GCCF.
the ocicat and
bengal cat club is jointly for ocicat and bengal owners, and
again, is affiliated to the GCCF.
all three clubs are full of information, and you will find most things you want to know, from the history of the breed, to whether the breed is the right choice for you on their sites. there are also some other sites of interest... GCCF the governing council of the cat fancy - the main registration body for pedigree cats in the U.K. TICA the international cat association. although the GCCF has been the main body in this country for many years, TICA is quickly increasing in popularity, with more shows being held under TICA rules, and more breeders registering their cats and obtaining titles under TICA. for those who are used to GCCF, but are interested in finding out more about TICA, there is a useful site for beginners at TICA in the U.K. TIBCS the international bengal cat society is another club for people interested in bengals, from all around the world. the bengal cat forums is a great place to chat with other bengal-a-holics from around the world & get good tips & advice & see lots of pics. my username on here is "bundles of bengals". i also spend time chatting to friends on the animal rebels forum. it is run by donna & louis, bengal breeders of belladonnakatz in the U.K. it has many bengal loving members aswell as lovers of all types of pets. new members are always welcome. if you join, my username is "bundles of bengals" again here. (you can use this name when asked how you heard about the forum or who referred you). sugar also has her own profile on catbook, a fun place for soppy cat owners to share stories & make friends (part of facebook). if you would like to be her friend just add her, & leave a message that you discovered her via the slavess website. ![]() an
